Catalonia push for Independent State

(Reuters) – Separatist parties in Spain’s Catalonia region set November 9 next year as the date for a proposed independence referendum on Thursday and agreed the wording, but the Spanish government immediately poured cold water on the plan.

Catalan regional government head Artur Mas said the vote, which the Spanish government says would be unconstitutional, would ask two questions: “Do you want Catalonia to be a state?” and “Do you want that state to be independent?”

Calls for independence in Catalonia, a wealthy industrial region of northeastern Spain which accounts for a fifth of the country’s economic output, have grown as a prolonged Spanish recession and cuts in public spending have hit the area, creating a headache for Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy. Reporting From Ukraine

The Ukrainian riot police are moving against protesters and are using tear gas and batons. They are driving people out of the center of Kiev slowly and confidently. Traffic police are now stopping cars from entering the city center, and new riot police are approaching everyone. The generals promise not to beat people, but just allow the “city workers” to “clean up the perimeter” is what they are claiming. But officials are in fact detaining protesters, beating them, and they are arresting them.

One protester Nikita Petick posted to his Facebook page from the paddy wagons through mobile device: ”Sos, I was detained.” ”They beat all brutally. This is hell. We tried for this not to happen – everything. Forgive me. Guy next to me broke down. the police they just don’t care.”

The West has tended to misreport what is happening there. The reports were that these are protesters angry about Ukraine not joining Europe. However, what is going on is the real seeds of revolution. All these people in the square came there just because they realized how far all this corruption and “family” thing really goes in government. They feel it is not normal to live in fear, that anybody can be fired or even beaten and jailed for things they didn’t do just because they become inconvenient for someone powerful. They see there is not even the smallest chance for economic development when any business has to bow to a “big daddy”…so it cannot continue like this. Read more at Armstrong Economics

Ukraine protesters defy police, leaders reject talks with president

Fireman Battle Police In Brussels

Thousands of firemen faced the police:
“The demonstration erupted with Firefighters blocking roads and the tunnel between Arts -Loi and Madou . They were protesting against their working conditions and cuts to the budget. They gathered in front of the prime minister’s office where they were blocked by riot police and barbed wire fences. In the ensuing clashes between the firemen and the police, a number firemen were wounded.

As we head into 2014, we should expect the civil unrest to start to rise exponentially. Just wait for the banks to pull their usual shit. Italian Protests

On Wednesday before the vote of confidence in Parliament, the government locked down itself in Rome fearful of the rising discontent in Italy. The Italian government fears violence at parades a whole new protest movement. This protest is growing from Turin, spreading to Genoa, Milan, Alfano, Rome, Savona and numerous other cities. This is what Homeland Security is worried about in the USA and what they bought tanks and bullets for domestic use to also protect American from America – or is it government from the people. Governments always delude themselves into believing they are the nation when it is the people who are sovereign not politicians.

The protesters are carrying their icons, which are pitchforks (“Forconi”). The movement began in Sicily back in 2011 that has inspired all of Italy at this point as millions are now protesting throughout the country with a solidarity against wasteful and corrupt government. We are seeing the same rising trend in Ukraine and in South America. Government has abused the people perpetually.

There are videos now posting showing in some places the police have joined the protesters. This Forconi (pitchforks) movement is a very different type of movement than which has appeared before and has taken on a show of force.
