- JP Morgan employee Aditya Tomar, 41, was one of six victim who died in the Tuesday crash in Valhalla, New York
- When wife rushed to hospital to see if he survived the accident, she claims she was told he was ‘fine’ and just undergoing X-rays
- She learned the next day that Tomar had in fact perished

Eric Vandercar, Morgan Stanley Veteran, Dies in Crash
(Bloomberg) – Eric Vandercar, who managed municipal funding during a 27-year career at Morgan Stanley before joining Mesirow Financial one year ago, was among the six people killed when a Metro-North Railroad train collided with a vehicle in Westchester County, New York. He was 53.

institutional sales and trading and head of municipal funding, according to an e-mailed statement from Deborah Krieps, a managing director at the Chicago-based firm.
At Morgan Stanley, he was a municipal bond arbitrage trader and a municipal and treasury portfolio strategist before becoming manager of municipal funding and liquidity in 1989, according to his LinkedIn.com page.
At both firms, Vandercar’s specialties included tender-option bond programs, which issue short-term securities, use the proceeds to buy longer-maturity local-government obligations, and profit from the difference in interest rates.

(Bloomberg) – Robert Dirks, a scientist at D.E. Shaw Research whose work was intended for the development of new drugs, was killed in the commuter train crash in Valhalla, New York, on Feb. 3. He was 36.
His death in the Metro-North Railroad accident was confirmed by his father, Michael Dirks, who said his son lived in Chappaqua, New York.
“Robert was a brilliant scientist who made tremendous contributions to our own research, and to the broader scientific community,” New York-based D.E. Shaw Research said today in
an e-mailed statement.
Dirks, who joined the company in 2006, was “involved in the development of novel computational chemistry methods,” according to its website. D.E. Shaw Research creates computer models of organic molecules for use in drug development.

Three Victims of Metro-North Crash: All Men, Each Bringing His Best
….Joseph Nadol, 42, of Ossining, traveled regularly to places like Italy, Spain and Singapore with his wife and three boys, ages 10, 9 and 7, said his wife, Jen Nadol.
He skied with his family every weekend. Just last week, he traveled to Arizona to see his beloved New England Patriots win the Super Bowl.
“He was really adventurous, active,” Ms. Nadol said. “He did wring out every bit of the minutes. He grabbed life and did live it very fully in the amount of time he had.”
Mr. Nadol was the managing director and the head of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.’s aerospace and defense equity research.
Known as an astute analyst, he held the No. 1 spot in the aerospace and defense sector of Institutional Investor’s All-American Research Team rankings for the past six years, the publication said.

Ellen Brody: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know
Ellen Brody has been named as the woman who caused the Metro North train crash in Valhalla, New York, on February 3. So far, six people, including the woman, have been killed. Scores more were injured during the incident. She was 49 years old.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. She Stopped Her Car on the Train Crossing for an Unknown Reason
According to New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo, there had been significant traffic around the crossing where the crash happened. The New York Times notes that it doesn’t look like the woman “was trying to beat the train at the crossing.” The governor repeated investigators theories that it’s likely that she had become confused for some reason, perhaps not realizing what side of the barrier she was on.

Speaking to WNYW, a witness to her actions, Rick Hope said, “It looks like where she stopped she did not want to go on the tracks, but the proximity of the gate to her car, you know, it was dark – maybe she didn’t know she was in front of the gate.” Gov. Cuomo said “That SUV was right in the middle of the track and was hit directly in the middle of the car by the train.” The car was sent flying about 400 feet down the track by the train. She was driving a black Mercedes SUV.
It’s believed that after she stopped on the tracks, she had gotten out of her car to check on the damage on the back of her vehicle. The New York Post reports that the train’s conductor, an Air Force veteran who has been working for Metro North for just nine months, slammed on the brakes as soon as he saw the car. The train, traveling close to its 60 miles-per-hour limit, takes a half mile to come to a complete stop.
2. Her Friend Said She Was a ‘Very Careful Driver’
NBC New York reports that Brody worked at a jewelry store, ICD Contemporary Jewelry, in Chappaqua, New York. ICD stands for Israeli Contemporary Design. On the store’s website, it touts Bill and Hilary Clinton among their regular customers.
Speaking to LoHud.com, the owner of the store, Virginia Shasha, described Brody as a “wonderful, wonderful person. She looked for the best in everyone.” She added that her friend was a “very careful driver.”
3. She Was a Mother of 3
According to her Facebook page, Brody was married and had three children. She attended Hillcrest High School in New York, and studied at the University of Albany. Brody was a native of Edgemont, New York. Her husband, Alan Brody, is South African-born and according to his Facebook page, he’s an author. LoHud.com reports that the family were active in the Chabad of the Rivertowns, a Jewish organization.
4. Dental Records Are Being Used to Identify the Victims
In total, six people are dead as a result of the incident. She was the only woman killed. The others were five men all from the Westchester area. According to officials, dental records were needed to identify all of the victims. Mary Calvi with CBS New York reports that one patient remains in critical condition at Westchester Medical Center. Another is in serious condition with six more in fair condition. Others injured during the crash have already been discharged from the hospital. The injuries range from severe burns to dislocations and fractures.
5. The FTA Advises Running Towards the Train if Your Car Gets Stuck on Tracks
According to the Federal Railroad Administration, if your car gets stuck on the tracks, you are advised to leave the vehicle and head in the direction of the train running along the side of the tracks. This will help you avoid any flying debris. The administration adds that over the past 12 months, 230 people have been killed in the U.S. as after being hit by trains.
According to the MTA, the train service between Pleasantville and North White Plains is still suspended indefinitely. Some buses are being used to bring passengers home along the Upper Harlem Line but even that service is limited. The MTA is advising passengers to work from home wherever possible. There is absolutely no service at the Hawthorne or Valhalla Stations.

In an anguished eulogy, the husband of the woman who drove her SUV onto Metro-North tracks in Westchester, killing herself and five train riders, told mourners Friday that the family’s “hearts go out to” her victims.
“Our hearts go out to everyone who’s been involved with this,” said a tearful Alan Brody, the husband of Ellen Brody, at a Dobbs Ferry synagogue, where about 500 family and friends were gathered.
Brody suggested that his wife got confused and went onto the tracks despite the train barreling toward her that night because she wasn’t familiar with her surroundings.
He said Brody, a jewelry store saleswoman, had been on her way to meet a client at the time and was unfamiliar with the neighborhood in Valhalla where the crash occurred.
“Somehow she ended up in this strange and unfamiliar place,” said Alan Brody, a native of Durban, South Africa. “I once drove there in that area two years ago, and I remember thinking, ‘This looks like my old home in Africa,’ and I was also thinking, ‘Are you kidding me? Who could imagine a major commuter railroad running through this? How could it?’”
Alan Brody also told sobbing mourners that he wished he could have been his wife’s “superhero” to save her.
“I always tried to be there for her,” said the author and journalist.
“I generally succeeded, but on that night, I wanted to be her superhero,” he said.
“Only God knows why I couldn’t be there to save her.”
The Brodys’ three tearful daughters also stood to memorialize their mom, who had just left her sales job at a Chappaqua jewelry shop when her Mercedes SUV inexplicably stopped in the path of the oncoming train. The car and the train’s first two cars erupted in fatal flames.
“Mom, Mom, Mom,” sobbed the youngest, high schooler Alexa, standing at a podium with her sister Julia, a University of Delaware student, and Danielle, who is a Delaware graduate.
“Your smile lights up the world and my life, and right now it’s so dark,” the teen cried.
“The light went out.”
The husband called the wreck “a tragedy of unimaginable proportions.”
On the night of the crash, he recalled, “I came back from a meeting in the city, and I realized we hadn’t heard from her.
“I went out to look for her,” he said. “I went up to Valhalla.” Here, his voice trailed off.
“The last time I spoke to her, her heart was full of the optimism we know her for,” he said.
The two had met at a friend’s party, he said.
“Somehow she just stood out from the crowd,” he said. “It was her youthful effervescence that caught my attention. And that enthusiasm, effervescence and exuberance never lagged, never got old.”
He spoke of the first party they threw together, at which she hoped her college pals would also find romance.
“Our love was so powerful, it was so infectious, she wanted everyone to have that.”
He added, “She always tried to find a solution for people even if they didn’t want it. You couldn’t just cry in her shoulder, she had to make it right.”
“She was forever funny, upbeat and never short on detail … Our family was always there to revel in her sunlight.
“Ellen brought the party with her,” he said.
Choking up, he added: “Ellen lived life to the fullest.”

What is amazing is that I was not expecting to find links to Bill & Hilary Clinton (see the above comment about the car driver, Ellen Brody, jewelry store – Israeli Contemporary Design Jewelry, in Chappaqua, New York – was upscale with Clinton and others as clientele).
Yes indeed, do not investigate too deeply, or you may be knocking on the doors to the institutional skeleton closet! Ahem, or is it dungeons?
I see the need for serious investigative work, so that murders or accidents such as Michael Hastings will stop along with the banksters’ wars.
