A calendar unites the people and the land.
Rich in celebration and tradition, calendars have long served as the centerpoint of culture.

Why are calendars so important?
What function do they serve in our lives?
Why do you believe what you believe about TIME?
The immediate response may be that you were trained to accept a calendar and 24 hour clock.
However, consider this information about the Roman calendar (considered to be the origins of western calendars):

The Asian New Year is also known as the Spring Festival or the Lunar New Year.
Lunar New Year Thursday February 19th, 2015 will host many events and celebrations, be safe and joyful!

One of the 10 top holiday extravaganzas in the world…

Hong Kong’s Chinese New Year celebration was recently listed by Forbes as one of the world’s 10 best festival extravaganzas, along with Germany’s Oktoberfest and Brazil’s Carnival. Lonely Planet also lists the Hong Kong Chinese New Year as one of the world’s top events. The first three days of the Spring Festival from February 19 to February 21, 2015 is a prime time to tour one of Asia’s favorite destinations.

What makes it so good? There is a big International Chinese New Year’s Parade in the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui on February 19, 2015, an impressive fireworks display over Victoria Harbor on February 20, and the Chinese New Year horse races on February 21. While there, you can shop in one of the world’s great cities for ritzy malls, luxury goods, and bargains shopping. The festivities include the “world’s largest sound and light display” daily.

Day 1: The Parade and Entertainment on New Year’s Day (February 19, 2015, Thursday)
Holiday Kickoff: The streets hop to the beating music, and the crowds enjoy the parade.
Day 2: Fireworks over Victoria Harbor on the Second Day (8 pm, February 20, 2015, Friday)

The astrological New Year approaches – do you know what year it is?

Is it any wonder we do not know what year it is? We say it is 2015. A Rabbi will tell you it 5775 and the Islamic world will tell you it is 1436. None of these calendars tells us anything about how long we have been around – the actual year – by design it seems. The calendar game is a global one. Consider resynchronizing your life cycle by saying no thank you to Julius and the Pope Gregory XIII. There are four times in the natural cycle of life you need to know to get back on track.

1. Vernal Equinox or spring – March 20
2. Summer Solstice – June 20 or 21
3. Autumnal Equinox or fall – September 22 or 23
4. Winter Solstice – December 21 or 22
