9/11 Aftermath: The Militarization of Police
June 14, 1943, the United States Supreme Court came to a decision in West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, declaring that the First Amendment protecting children from being forced to say the Pledge of Allegiance in school. The Barnette family were Jehovah’s Witnesses and their religion forbade them to saluting and symbol. Their girls were expelled for failing to say the pledge. The case eventually made it’s way to Supreme Court

I left youtube after Google’s takeover.
Recall that Google made a lot of unwanted changes to youtube – even against the outcry of channel users/subscribers
I expect the same to happen to twitter…

I think I first figured out how Project Mockingbird worked when I was 13 and read my grandmother’s complete collection (5 years worth) of Readers Digests. What immediately struck me was nearly every article followed the same formula – some person somewhere confronted immense adversity and came through totally on their own initiative through rugged individual initiative.
My immediate reaction was that the content of RD was totally out of synch with my own life experience – in the community I lived in people helped each other out. I had no idea what the motivation was behind publishing a periodical like this, but I was extremely skeptical about the agenda I sensed the publisher was pushing.
This was during the Cold War, and the RD also published a lot of anti-Russian propaganda. My reaction was to sign up for Russian lessons during summer school (which was the only time they were offered). I felt there were some things I needed to discover for myself.

I wondered how entrapment were recruited.
My personal experience was back in college and there was a communist group active on campus who had a passionate, vocal, and attractive female that I am sure was an effective recruiter for the revolution…
