Readers should be aware that this blog‘s theme encourages personal sovereignty, to end the wars requires alternatives to the current destructive norms, while simultaneously sharing “ourstory”, and innovation rather than pleading to institutions for solutions.
OURSTORY means We Are All Connected and Solutions Come From Within.
I was pleasantly surprised to hear about some Military Veterans making the effort to assist each other and the community. I was also pleased to see their website include the importance of “Ourstory”. ~Ron

Our Mission:
To empower military veterans to grow food, communities, and each other.
Our Vision:
To end the isolation that leads to suicide and to make sustainable agriculture the norm.
We combine veteran reintegration with sustainable agriculture- creating a holistic solution to fighting the multitude of issues the veteran population faces and simultaneously empowering our fellow vets to strengthen the incredibly important sustainable agriculture movement.
Acknowledging the many issues that veterans face: unemployment, homelessness, suicide, divorce and depression – we believe that in most cases the root cause of these issues is isolation. –growingveterans.org

Very inspiring effort. The way the US government abandons veterans of the so-called war on terror is even more shameful than their deliberate targeting of civilian populations.

Yes, citizens are targeted in a war they are unaware of.
I have noticed that the most inspiring stories rise out of what People do rather than what institutions do.
Regardless of the odds it is never hopeless, our dreams of a prosperous world have not died and creation will make herself known.
