There are more than merely a single level to the Grexit drama.
Greece has struggled against austerity for 5 years, slowly, excruciatingly slowly, being educated to the reality of the international monetary system.
Most citizens were unaware of the facts that criminal creditors (TROIKA) have more in common with loan sharking gangsters than with fair credit financiers.
Most citizens were unaware of the distinction between being part of Europe vs being part of the currency union.
Most citizens (including the SYRIZA party) falsely believed they could satisfy both conditions: End Austerity, and remain in the Currency Union.
Most citizens were unaware that the Eurogroup is not part of government and has no accountability to the will of the People in Europe, nor bound by national laws.
When asked What is the greatest problem with the general way the Eurogroup functions?
Former Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis replied:
There was a moment when the President of the Eurogroup decided to move against us and effectively shut us out, and made it known that Greece was essentially on its way out of the Eurozone. … There is a convention that communiqués must be unanimous, and the President can’t just convene a meeting of the Eurozone and exclude a member state. And he said, “Oh I’m sure I can do that.” So I asked for a legal opinion. It created a bit of a kerfuffle. For about 5-10 minutes the meeting stopped, clerks, officials were talking to one another, on their phone, and eventually some official, some legal expert addressed me, and said the following words, that “Well, the Eurogroup does not exist in law, there is no treaty which has convened this group.”
So what we have is a non-existent group that has the greatest power to determine the lives of Europeans. It’s not answerable to anyone, given it doesn’t exist in law; no minutes are kept; and it’s confidential. So no citizen ever knows what is said within. … These are decisions of almost life and death, and no member has to answer to anybody.
Now that is a lot of ignorance being revealed and potentially removed.
Who will stop the Eurogroup and Euro-Commission?
Who will write-off and retire their fraudulent debts?
Perhaps some citizens will refuse to acknowledge the dark truth, and refuse to consider the European Union forming another empire.
The last recorded World War defeated the plans to form a European Union empire centered in Germany.
Oh my, what an amazing coincidence, here the world’s People are again, observing the formation of a European Union empire centered in Germany. Coincidence?
Corporate owned media will not document the current world wide crisis as a escalating world war threat.
Linking the currency wars, capital controls, trade wars, and monetary reforms while simultaneously highlighting them in a continuous mass media spotlight identifying the (World War) objectives is not done in corporate controlled media.
Their loyal viewers will forever think wars make no sense, when in fact wars makes perfect sense to those who plan to profit from war.
Research the IMF, World Bank, BRICS, G20, United Nations, European Commission, and other powerful institutions for their documents detailing their technocratic approach to “sustainable development”, and reforming the international monetary system; then you will see for yourself the sustainable development new world plan.
Yes, the Grexit affects the planned new world structure, a multipolar new world order…
Most citizens limit their awareness to within the nation.
Will Greece become aware of the worldwide importance of their defiance to the currency union?
Already labelled as rebels, the new Grexit Party (who call themselves the “Popular Unity” party) must defeat the sponsored mass media, the Greek Oligarchs, the bankers (the remaining few who are not controlled by oligarchs), the pro-creditor-officials, and also defeat the fear & ignorance of a significant portion of the voters who confuse remaining in the currency union with remaining in Europe.
The identification with Europe is strong in Greece.
The Popular Unity (Grexit) party has a difficult uphill battle as it directly confronts the strongest political organizations in the Hellenic republic and the antagonistic mass media that have already begun labeling the new party as rebels and dissidents.
A fierce and energetic political campaign is underway to claim victory and form a Greek coalition government and avoid the September’s election.
My question is, after seeing the massive offensive weapons aimed at opposition to the Syriza-pro-creditors coalition, does the Popular Unity (Grexit) party have enough armor and ammunition to survive this battle skirmish?
Because the war goes beyond this event and beyond September’s election event.
Indeed, the war is over the money: the foreign debt, currency creation, capital controls, strategic military locations (NATO), and more.
In our research we so often repeat, Follow The Money.
Please download and read the Greek Parliament’s investigative findings into the foreign creditors’ debt claims held over the Greece government, and the IMF’s Country Reports about Greece Debt Sustainability.
Greece Parliament Speaker, Zoi Konstantopoulou, tasked a “Truth Committee on Public Debt” to investigate the government’s debt. The Truth Committee Report findings listed fraud and other illegal activities and stated:
People’s dignity is worth more than illegal, illegitimate, odious and unsustainable debt
Having concluded a preliminary investigation, the Committee considers that Greece has been and still is the victim of an attack premeditated and organized by the International Monetary Fund, the European Central Bank, and the European Commission. This violent, illegal, and immoral mission aimed exclusively at shifting private debt onto the public sector.
Making this preliminary report available to the Greek authorities and the Greek people, the Committee considers to have fulfilled the first part of its mission as defined in the decision of the President of Parliament of 4 April 2015. The Committee hopes that the report will be a useful tool for those who want to exit the destructive logic of austerity and stand up for what is endangered today: human rights, democracy, peoples’ dignity, and the future of generations to come.
“Executive Summary of the report from the Debt Truth Committee” was archived by Truth Committee on the Greek Public Debt 17 June 2015 http://cadtm.org/Executive-Summary-of-the-report
IMF’s 14 July 2015 update of Greece Debt Sustainability Analysis stated:
“Greece’s public debt has become highly unsustainable.”
New Face Of A Rebel?
Maybe Former energy minister Panagiotis Lafazanis is not new and not too old to be a rebel.
He leads the Grexit party, a new Greek political party calling itself “Laiki Enotita” (Popular Unity).
I have not seen a tally of how many MPs have joined the Grexit party, however Greek media reported 25 MPs exited the Syriza coalition and became members of the “Laiki Enotita”. At a minimum the 25 Parliamentary seats makes the Laiki Enotita party the 3rd largest political party. The newly formed party has a colossal task seeking to win leadership of the 300 member Parliament in less than a month. Snap elections are intentionally rushed along to thwart oppositional efforts by rival parties to the dominate Syriza party. For the third time in eight months, Greeks are urged to trek, once again, to the voting booths to repeat their defiant message “OXI” to austerity.
Elections are scheduled for 20th September 2015.
“We are at war against austerity” -Panayiotis Lafazanis (Popular Unity party leader)
September, remember September…
So much forewarning has been pointing to the significance of this year’s Autumnal Equinox, and the amount of discussions concerning the possible dire events in the final two weeks of September 2015.
If you have not seen the many warning signs for September 2015 then please type “warnings signs September 2015” into your browser’s search engine and see the millions of results for yourself.
It truly is impressive.
Does Greece have a September Surprise?
Can Panagiotis Lafazanis lead his party to a David vs Goliath amazing type victory?
If not, please remember, the war would not be over for the Greeks.
Indeed, with a formal Grexit political party in Parliament, the war has only begun…
