Happy Asian Lunar New Year!

monkey-king-jpg
This week ushered in the Asian 2016 Lunar calendar New Year of the Fire Monkey.
What could this mean?
My thoughts conjure images of confounding the system of worldwide fraud, stealth insults, and…

The Monkey’s motto, “I entertain“, emphasizes the outgoing, sociable nature of this sign. This expressive animal loves attention and invites us to step up and take our turn in the limelight. The mischievous Monkey is always looking for new amusements, both for the pleasure of Self and others. –happywishingwell.com

Imagine the mockery, “creeping Monkey,” or “shades of Monkey humor”, with stories of strange and confounding events.
Some may call it a crisis, while others laugh at officials who think they should be obeyed.
[What could be more hilarious?]
Imagine their frustration and annoyance that borders on the humorous.

Stealth Disclosure
Imagine photos or videos of high level executives at work and you notice an executive wearing one red sock and one black sock; or an irate news actor on the 6 O’clock news reveals something shockingly important that the producers forbid and wish to remain secret…

Okay, so I am easily entertained, as I imagine opposition to the fraudulent institutions.
I enjoy imagining the end to this Age of Deception.

The Monkey Mime

Source: http://www.tanmonkey.com/monkey-jokes.php

One day an out of work mime is visiting the zoo and attempts to earn some money as a street performer. Unfortunately, as soon as he starts to draw a crowd, a zookeeper grabs him and drags him into his office.

The zookeeper explains to the mime that the zoo’s most popular attraction, a gorilla, has died suddenly and the keeper fears that attendance at the zoo will fall off. He offers the mime a job to dress up as the gorilla until they can get another one. The mime accepts.

So the next morning the mime puts on the gorilla suit and enters the cage before crowd comes. He discovers that it’s a great job. He can sleep all he wants, play and make fun of people and he draws bigger crowds than he ever did as a mime. However, eventually the crowds tire of him and he tires of just swinging on tires.

He begins to notice that the people are paying more attention to the lion in the cage next to his. Not wanting to lose the attention of his audience, he climbs to the top of his cage, crawls across a partition, and dangles from the top to the lion’s cage. Of course, this makes the lion furious, but the crowd loves it. At the end of the day the zoo-keeper comes and gives the mime a raise for being such a good attraction.

Well, this goes on for some time, the mime keeps taunting the lion, the crowds grow larger, and his salary keeps going up. Then one terrible day when he is dangling over the furious lion, he slips and falls. The mime is terrified. The lion gathers itself and prepares to pounce.

The mime is so scared that he begins to run round and round the cage with the lion close behind. Finally, the mime starts screaming and yelling, “Help, Help me!” but the lion is quick and pounces.

The mime soon finds himself flat on his back looking up at the angry lion and the lion says, “Shut up you idiot! Do you want to get us both fired?”

Q. What do you call a Monkey in a tree?

2016 – Year of the Fire Monkey

My interpretations of some of the proverbial writings are that we’re moving into a Fire year after two Wood years.
Wood is growth, in pursuit of a vision and focus.
The wood Qi is unfocused or unstructured energy…

Fire Qi is a intentional focus, expressing the wood’s Qi that was previously manifested as unstructured energy.

So bring out your inner FIRE!
Alongside humor and laughter.

Those with a fiery temper seem to know how to stoke their inner fire instinctively and with great enthusiasm, some may have to be prodded or prompted, for the proverbial “last straw”…

Lunar New Year turbulence as ‘fire monkey’ swings into action

Feng shui masters in Hong Kong also combine astrology into their art.

Hong Kong-based soothsayer Thierry Chow warned of shocking events at the hands of the “fire monkey”.

“Fire is dominant in the five elements. When fire is atop monkeys they will be swinging around, they will be difficult to predict. A lot of things will be unexpected,” said Chow.

The last fire monkey year happened in 1956, when Britain and France invaded Egypt during the Suez Canal crisis, a pivotal event that historians believe marked the demise of British imperial power.

But while the monkey may bring instability, it could also herald major innovation, said Chow, as technology falls into the “fire” category.

    The Monkey

    12-Feb-1956–30-Jan-1957 – Element-Fire(+)

The MONKEY – Chinese name: HÓU
    Ranking Order – Ninth
Hours ruled by the Monkey: 3pm to 5pm
Direction of this sign – West-Southwest
Season and principle month: Summer – August
    Fixed Element: Metal

    Metal Monkey
    Water Monkey
    Wood Monkey
    Fire Monkey
    Earth Monkey

The Monkey is lively, likable and witty. Highly sociable, the Monkey is talkative and, as a fascinating conversationalist, he attracts a wide circle of friends. People born under this influence have an innately low boredom threshold. Inquisitive in the extreme and forever believing that the grass is greener elsewhere, they need to find continual stimulation to keep themselves interested and amused. However, often Monkeys are too clever for their own good and can be mettlesome, opportunistic, and unscrupulous to the point of being tricky and manipulative. This is because Monkey types possess acute psychological perspicacity which enables them to read people like books. In particular, women under the Monkey influence can play rather subtle games with members of the opposite sex. And although Monkeys give the impression of getting on fabulously with everybody, this great rapport is often nothing but a ruse — Monkeys are in fact egotistical and selfish. They tend to be lazy, concentrating on small matters while ignoring more important issues. They ignore obstacles, finding them beneath their consideration.

Playful, even obliging at times, the Monkey hides the poor opinion he has of others beneath his apparent friendliness. He distrusts people born under any other sign and considers himself to be superior to all of them. He has plenty of intelligence and a fantastic ability to pull the wool over people’s eyes. He is so artful that he can even fool the Dragon — who is strong, stubborn, and no fool himself — and resist the magnetism of the Tiger, whom he teases unmercifully.

Do You See Evidence Of The Fire Monkey?

Seeing yourself locked in a cage, fires your will to be Free!
    Kindling the Flames of Freedom…

I am curious, what happened during the previous Fire Monkey cycle in 1956?
If you find an error printed here, then please share the correction with source information.
We are dealing with *energies and qualities* which find expression in human personalities and their behaviour and situations. Finding words to convey these qualities requires high skills to detect subtleties and nuanced distinctions. Astrology is not a field I routinely research or share.
My wish is that ourstory grows to detect the subtle energies and influences in our lives.
The arts, crafts, engineering, and healing modalities (consider Feng Shui and holistic medicine for example) can be enhanced with our greater knowledge and ability to detect the unseen on our journey to advance beyond this Age of Deception.

The character of the Fire Monkey is Ambitious and adventurous, but irritable.
The legend of the Monkey King turned his rebellious nature into courage and leadership.
The monkey is unlike any other animal of the astrological zodiac.
The Asian Astrology Calendar, which is a 60 year cycle combination counting system of Yin-Yang Five Elements and 12 animals. The Five Elements are Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth. The twelve animals are Rat, Cow, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Chicken, Dog and Pig.
The “Fire Monkey” is limited to twice (some occasions, only once) every century!
This Year of 2016 is the Red Fire Monkey, and the previous Fire Monkey year was way back in 1956!
The philosophy of Yin-Yang is about the Balance, and traditional Chinese Astrology and Feng Shui is a discussion about the balance of the Five Elements.

The Monkey King is a fearless hero, who is much loved and celebrated with countless tales of his quick wit and trickster character. The Hindu epic tells of “Hanuman” as one of the gods…
Hanuman is honored all over Asia (China, India, Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Thailand, and elsewhere).
The year of the monkey is one of courage, action, and anarchy.
New endeavors are likely to succeed. Now add FIRE to this 2016 year and I imagine this year of the Fire Monkey will be inspirationally important. Monkey is not embarrassed, and likes to help others. He is always looking for excitement, gets bored and moves on to the next thing. The globalists could lose patience, skip steps, and cause failure.
This year could be very interesting, with the influence of the Fire Monkey!

      Fire Monkey’s Influence?

My wife and I are intrigued with the cycle possibility of a tumultuous 2016 year with calamity and upheaval.
Moments ago I did a cursory internet search for 1956 world events and found these:

01 Jan -Sudan became independent from Britain. Northern Muslim parties took over rule. Southerners demanded autonomy and civil war began.

04 Jan -Oun Cheeand Sun was elected by the People’s Socialist Communist Party and installed as premier of Cambodia. He succeeded King Norodom Sihanouk.

10 Jan -The US Navy established its first nuclear power school at Submarine Base, New London, Connecticut.

13 Jan -Lebanon and Syria signed a defense pact providing for joint retaliation against Israel if either was attacked.

16 Jan -Egyptian Pres. Nasser pledged to reconquer Palestine. His government made Islam the state religion.

19 Jan -The U.N. Security council voted unanimously to censure Israel for its attack on Syria (12/11/55) as a flagrant violation of the Palestine armistice.
…Sudan became the 9th member of the Arab League.

25 Jan -Khrushchev said that he believed that Eisenhower was sincere in his efforts to abolish war.

27 Jan -PhD. M.L. King Jr. receives a threatening phone call late in the evening, prompting a spiritual revelation that fills him with strength to carry on in spite of persecution.
30 Jan -while King speaks at a mass meeting, his home is bombed. His wife and daughter are not injured. Later King addresses an angry crowd that gathers outside the house, pleading for nonviolence.

28 Jan -Pres. Eisenhower rejected a proposal for a friendship pact from Soviet Premier Bulganin.
…Iva Toguri D’Aquino (1916-2006), a Japanese-American “suspected” of being wartime radio propagandist “Tokyo Rose,” was released from prison at Alderson, W. Virginia. In 1949 she had been tried in San Francisco and convicted for having spoken “into a microphone concerning the loss of ships.” She was pardoned in 1977 by President Ford.
…In Japan media mogul Matsutaro Shoriki, as a cabinet member of the first LDP government, was appointed president of Japan’s new Atomic Energy Commission. Shoriki had helped form the Liberal Democratic Party.

02 Feb -Archbishop Makarios, spokesman for the Greek Cypriotes, turned down a proposal for gradual independence and demanded immediate sovereignty.

03 Feb -Lawyers for the NAACP and the Montgomery Improvement Association (MIA) filed a petition in federal court challenging the city’s bus segregation ordnance.
…Autherine Lucy (b.1929) arrived at the Tuscaloosa branch of the Univ. of Alabama and became the first black person to enroll there. She had been accepted in 1952 and then was denied because of her race.

*06 Feb -The Univ. of Alabama board of trustees voted to suspend Autherine Lucy, the 1st black admitted to school, on the grounds that the campus was no longer safe for her.
French PM Guy Mollet was pelted with rotten tomatoes at a demonstration in Algiers. The French refer to this memorable event as “la journée des tomates.”
[Now this could be the influence of the Fire Monkey! ~Ron]

08 Feb -U.S. banned the launching of weather balloons because of Soviet complaints.

17 Feb -The U.S. announced a suspension of all arms shipments to Israel and the Arab nations.
…ATV Midlands launched a weekday service and ABC began transmission at weekends in the same region the following day. A north of England service, covering Lancashire and Yorkshire, began in May, with ABC broadcasting at weekends and Granada during the week.

18 Feb -U.S. lifted its arms ban and shipped tanks to Saudi Arabia.

The Scholar Sage - Online Daoist Magazine
      […]
If we look at the various pillars which make up the Chinese calendar we can see that the element of Fire is dominant in 2016 though there is also an undercurrent of the Metal element as well. This element is running beneath the Fire energy having an influence upon the way that Ming (destiny) unfolds over the next 12 lunar months.

The relationship between Fire and Metal is not considered a harmonious one. Fire controls Metal meaning that it will not receive the support from its underlying element with the grace and dignity which we would expect to see in a harmonious time period. This is a sign of conflict and dominance by the main element of Fire; combined with the unpredictability of the Monkey sign and it could be a difficult and, at the same time, interesting year for many of us.

2015 was a Wood elemental year, a time of progression and change. Fire is the culmination of the actions of Wood and so in 2016 we should start to see the ‘flowering’ of many events which begun in the previous couple of years. Tensions will boil over, political situations will start to come to a head and the peak of difficult times will start to make itself evident.

Monkey is the trickster, the joke-lover and the unpredictable sign. It is hard to pinpoint exactly how things will unfold in a Monkey year and so be ready for many surprises. Random events, unforeseen changes and surprising actions from those around you are going to be the norm.
