LIBOR Rises From The Crypt As Argentina Face Default

An Argentinian consumer finance group has sued Dutch Rabobank over LIBOR.

Last year Rabobank was fined some $1 billion by US and European regulators for its role in manipulating the key London Interbank Offered Rate and its Euribor cousin.

Criminal Banks’ Protection Costs Continue To Rise as more crimes are revealed

…the cost to banks may climb as they face more investigations and lawsuits worldwide. EU Competition Commissioner Joaquin Almunia said the penalties won’t be “the end of the story” as regulators continue to probe additional cases linked to Libor and currency trading.
