It has been awhile since I have posted my weekend thoughts and I feel it is overdue.
So let us share some food for thought.

‘Bank Holiday’

…a day where there is an emergency bank closure to avert a bank run. This type of bank holiday occurred as a result of the Emergency Banking Act of 1933 during the Great Depression in the United States.

Do you know that the USA government demanded the people to turn in all gold in 1933?
One thing that is rarely talked about is the Confiscation of almost all Gold held by private parties of the United States. This was done in 1933 under a Declared National Emergency, one that was declared by then sitting President Franklin D. Roosevelt. There was a Criminal Penalty, $10,000 Fine and 10 years in jail or both, threatened to those who refused to comply.

Executive Order 6102 was signed by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, “FDR”, on April 5, 1933

I found the Emergency Banking Relief Act (March 1933)revealing:
The act allowed only Federal Reserve-approved banks to operate in the United States of America.

Title I

Section 1. To affirm any orders or regulations the President or Secretary of the Treasury had given since March 4, 1933.

Section 2. During time of war or during any other period of national emergency declared by the President, the President may regulate or prohibit all monetary transactions or transfers.

Section 3. To authorize the Secretary of the Treasury to order any individual or organization in the United States to deliver any gold that they possess or have custody of to the Treasury in return for “any other form of coin or currency coined or issued under the laws of the United States”.

Section 4. To make it illegal for any bank member of the Federal Reserve System to do business during a national emergency (per section 2) without the approval of the President.

Title II.

To enable the Comptroller of the Currency (a post in the US Treasury) to take complete control of and operate any bank member of the Federal Reserve System in the United States or its territories and to establish the terms and conditions under which bank is administered.

Have you ever heard of the “Bonus Army” or “Bonus Marchers” the war veterans from World War 1 (WWI) peaceful march in summer of 1932 in Washington D.C.?

Bonus Army: “We were heroes in 1917,” said one veteran bitterly, “but we’re bums now.”

By the end of May 1932 over 3,000 veterans and their families had made their way to Washington, D.C. Most of them lived in a collection of makeshift huts and tents on the mud flats by the Anacostia River outside the city limits. Similar encampments could be found sheltering the migrant unemployed and poor outside any large city in the United States and were called ‘Hoovervilles’. By July, almost 25,000 people lived in Anacostia, making it the largest one in the country.

Bonus Marchers on the Capitol Steps

In June, the Patman Bonus Bill, which proposed immediate payment of the veterans’ cash bonuses, was debated in the House of Representatives. There was stiff resistance from Republicans loyal to President Hoover, as the estimated cost of the bill was over $2 billion and the Hoover Administration was adamant about maintaining a balanced budget. The bill passed in the Congress on June 15, but was defeated in the Senate only two days later. In response, almost 20,000 veterans slowly shuffled up and down Pennsylvania Avenue for three days in a protest local newspapers titled the ‘Death March.’

…MacArthur had taken personal command of the operation. President Hoover had ordered MacArthur to clear Pennsylvania Avenue only, but MacArthur immediately began to clear all of downtown Washington, herding the Marchers out and torching their huts and tents. Tear gas was used liberally… by 8:00 p.m. the downtown area had been cleared and the bridge across the Anacostia River, leading to the Hooverville where most of the Marchers lived, was blocked by several tanks.

…MacArthur crossed the Anacostia at 11:00 p.m., routed the marchers along with 600 of their wives and children out of the camp, and burned it to the ground. Then, incredibly, he called a press conference at midnight where he praised Hoover for taking the responsibility for giving the order to clear the camp.
(Some protesters were killed during this military operation on defenseless and peaceful protesters, but I am not sure how many.)

Has FREEDOM and LIBERTY magically appeared today?

How did the USA prepare for Word War 1 (WWI)?

Everyone was being pressured to buy bonds from the government to help pay for the war…

When President Wilson (The man who signed the Federal Reserve Act creating the current central bank and income taxes) was asked to declare war, he knew that he needed the support of ALL Americans (Patriotism and Propaganda).
Wilson warned that any disloyalty would be “dealt with firmly”
(How would this look today; Police state, Martial law, and State sponsored Terror?).

 The government’s war time efforts to recruit women had several themes, the main one being patriotism. The campaigns told women that the war would end sooner if more women worked. Women were also warned that if they did not work then a soldier would die, people would call them slackers, and they were equivalent to men who avoided the draft (Rupp 96). Women who took war jobs were praised.

Another propaganda theme was high pay. The government cautioned, though, that wages should not be overemphasized or women might spend too much and cause inflation (Rupp 96).

As a way to lure young women into the factories, advertisers showed women workers as glamorous and even fashionable.

Imagine this occurring tomorrow:
President declares War.
(War against, take your pick: Syria/Iran/N. Korea/China/Russia or “Constitutional-radicals” or Space Invaders…?)

Declares “disloyalty” will be dealt with firmly. (FEMA Camps, Martial law, Police State?)

In these scenarios what actions would you take?
Would you support this again in tomorrow’s declaration of war?

Obviously protests and demonstrations will not bring the changes we wish, however they increase awareness.
Continuing to petition for change in the fictitious legal entities of governments/banks/corporations is counterproductive to the emergence of self-governance and freedom as the shift in consciousness continues to increase awareness.
Awareness is a necessary stage prior to solution.
People starting projects, engineering and inventing alternative energy or products and services will usher in the change.
Being and Doing the alternative to this dysfunctional system will usher in the REAL Change as everyone realize We the People of Earth are the Change.

And this is only food for thought.
