[The following post is by TDV Chief Editor, Jeff Berwick]
“By a continuing process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens. There is no subtler, no surer means of overturning the existing basis of society than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose.” – John Maynard Keynes
Yes, that quote is by John Maynard Keynes the hero and savior of the likes of Ben Bernanke, Janet Yellen and Paul Krugman… all of whom are proud Keynesians.
And while there is some awakening to the evils of the Federal Reserve and central banking as a whole, notably with the “End the Fed” protests and rallies, for the most part the “not one man in a million is able to diagnose” part is true. It may be closer to one man in a hundred now, though, so there is some hope.
Let’s look at the two most evil facets of communist-style, centrally planned, central banking.
IT DESTROYS LIVING STANDARDS
“It is well that the people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.” – Henry Ford
The people in the U.S. are starting to wake up to the fact that there are massive problems… resulting in things like Occupy Wall Street and fast-food workers going on strike for a higher minimum wage. What most of them don’t get is what the real problem is… the Federal Reserve and money printing… AKA. Quantitative Easing.
The real problem is that the standard of living of your average household in the US has been massively decreased since 1971 when the last vestige of gold backing was taken away from the US dollar.
The US Census Bureau releases stats on the “Median Household Income” and it adjusts it to “inflation”. But, by inflation, they mean the Consumer Price Index (CPI) which is a government statistic that all but takes most of the real inflation out of the CPI as we’ll show below.

“Major Foreign Currencies Collapsing as U.S. Vs. World Policy, Growth Gap Grows!”
He reported Plunging currencies are: Japanese yen; Canadian dollar; Australian dollar; and New Zealand Kiwi
Will the pressure be enough to hold emergency meetings and go public with the new monetary policy and the SDR?
I doubt this, for the simple reason they do not have the BRICS clearing mechanisms in operation yet. The RMB and China’s UnionPay (SWIFT clone) the EurAsia trade zone are incomplete.
This coming G20 Summit may be more lively than most. A few hints may be revealed in Australia.
Thank you for sharing.

I think how fast they complete the clearing mechanism will be determined by how frantic the societies in these regions begin to rise up and most will show big resentment towards the USA for their abundance over all other nations ….. and this then will result in a further political divide in the US society .
We are a fractured nations now with half on some form of government subsidy and this will serve to further divide when the republicans take control of the congress , and try to reign in spending . The next 2 years will collapse this nation and reign in the NEW World Order !!!!
Hong Kong has become an extension of the US financial Markets paper trading system as more out sourcing by Hong Kong to lower labor pools has resulted in less debt convertible durable production realized in Hong Kong because of how this passes through to Wall Street and Central banks . So less financial gains in Hong Kong by individuals , like whats going on in other nations in durable production regions will bring on further revolts and the commingling of these nations away from the dollar trading system . China will make this dividing interest known to the citizens of hing kong and win them over to the SDR soon and will do this over and over the most the US shows that its elitists high dollar value is whats causing their pain . And when you look behind the curtain of the same elites who are causing this pain , its exactly what they want to see happen to bring on the One World Government Order to create the International collective society that they can control the rate of consumption of to save their earth by suppressing abundance and therefore reversing the longevity of humanity !!!!!!
http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2014/09/30/hong-kong-v-china-less-government-is-so-obviously-better/
Its a Nice thought ( Less Government) but to many people have been left to Government as their only hope , as has been the plan to create this NWO fundamental Transformation , all done on Purpose !!!!
The Only Hope is for the US Citizens to stand up and demand their Monetary Policy back and use it to restart their means to produce their own needs to become an independent people once again , but we are to far down the rabbit hole …..

Financial Derivatives Market a $1.2 Quadrillion Time Bomb!
by http://independentreport.blogspot.ca/
Financial jargon is often arcane and perplexing to the average person. While even casual observers have surely heard of derivatives, most are unlikely to know what exactly they are.
–
Derivatives, or swaps, are basically bets between companies and banks that are designed, in essence, to be insurance policies. The problem with derivatives is that since they often involve highly leveraged bets, they can be very dangerous. A small change in market conditions can mean huge losses.
–
Such losses can occur because derivatives use extraordinary leverage, or borrowing. Derivatives allow investors to earn large returns from small movements in the underlying asset’s price. However, investors can also lose large amounts if the price of the underlying asset moves against them significantly.
–
In fact, derivatives were used to conceal credit risk from third parties while protecting derivative counterparties, which contributed to the financial crisis in 2008. That threat still lingers today. If interest rates were to rise unexpectedly, for example, it could result in a financial bloodbath on Wall Street.
–
Derivatives are used to make the really big money on Wall St. They can be many things, but are basically contracts or bets that derive their value from the performance of something else — an interest rate, a bond or stock, a loan, a currency, a commodity, virtually anything.
–
For traders, derivatives are a perfect product. They can also be highly lucrative to financial institutions. Over the last five years, banks earned an estimated $20 billion selling derivatives just to school districts, hospitals, and scores of state and local governments across the country.
–
Yet, as Warren Buffett famously stated, derivatives are “financial weapons of mass destruction.”
–
The global derivatives market is highly complex, totally unregulated and freakishly large. According to one of the world’s leading derivatives experts, Paul Wilmott, who holds a doctorate in applied mathematics from Oxford University, the so-called notional value of the worldwide derivatives market is $1.2 quadrillion.
–
A quadrillion is an incomprehensibly massive figure: 1,000 times a trillion. The market’s notional value is 20 times the size of the global economy. The annual gross domestic product of the entire planet is between $50 trillion and $60 trillion.
–
Even if Congress decided to regulate the stunningly massive derivatives market, regulators wouldn’t be able to assess the risks of derivatives because they don’t understand them. Congress doesn’t understand them either. That’s by design. The whole market is set up to be incomprehensible to anyone other than those who arranged it, making it beyond regulation.
–
Insured U.S. banks and savings institutions held $222 trillion worth of derivatives in the second quarter of 2012, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Yet, the total U.S. economy is approximately $15 trillion.

Another Conspiracy Theory Becomes Fact: The Fed’s “Stealth Bailout” Of Foreign Banks Goes Mainstream
Back in June 2011, Zero Hedge first posted:
which we followed up on various occasions, most notably with
With the following key chart:
Of course, the conformist counter-contrarian punditry, for example the FT’s Alphaville, promptly said this was a non-issue and was purely due to some completely irrelevant microarbing of a few basis points in FDIC penalty surcharges, which as we explained extensively over the past 3 years, has nothing at all to do with the actual motive of hoarding Fed reserves by offshore (or onshore) banks, and which has everything to do with accumulating billions in “dry powder” reserves to use for risk-purchasing purposes (alas understanding that would require grasping that reserves are perfectly valid collateral to use as margin against purchase of such market moving products as e-mini futures, which in turn explains why traders usually don’t end up as journos).
Fast, or rather slow, forward to today when none other than the WSJ’s Jon Hilsenrath debunks yet another “conspiracy theory” and reveals it as “unconspiracy fact” with “Fed Rate Policies Aid Foreign Banks: Lenders Pocket a Spread by Borrowing Cheaply, Parking Funds at Central Bank“
Wait… the Wall Street Journal said that? Yup.
Hmm, we almost feel like we should bring up the dreaded “P” word considering the bolded sentence is a recap of what we said in February of 2013 in “How The Fed Is Handing Over Billions In “Profits” To Foreign Banks Each Year.” That’s ok, though: imitation, flattery and all that…
So here is Hilsy “figuring out” what we have been explaining for over 3 years!
Actually it is a goal, but that would lead to a whole lot of embarrassing congressional hearings which the Fed would rather avoid, plus nobody really “gets” it. The reason why? Apparently things are so “complex” that anyone who figured it out years ago was clearly a conspiracy theorist:
In other words, the Fed-funded risk-free carry trade finally goes mainstream. Of course, all those who read ZH in 2011 will know all of this by now:
But don’t blame the banks – they are merely doing what the Fed is encouraging them to do. And after all who wouldn’t collect billions in risk free cash?
Sadly, the WSJ ends just before it gets good. So without further ado, here is what happens if and when one extrapolates a rising rate environment in terms of Fed handouts to foreign banks, from what we said in February of 2013:
Obviously, nobody asked Bernanke and nobody has asked Yellen this simple question, because until last night apparently nobody aside from the Zero Hedge community had any grasp of what is going on.
That said, we doubt that anyone in control will ask any related questions in the near of not so near future even with Hilsenrath’s “How The Fed Is Bailing Out Foreign Banks For Dummies” primer, because let’s not forget – the same banks that control the Fed are also the same banks that purchase politicians at every possible opportunity (see for example: With Cantor Down, Which Other Politicians Has Goldman Invested In?).
In fact, the only good news from Hilsenrath’s report is that yet another conspiracy theory has been documented as unconspiracy fact. Then again, Zero Hedge readers knew all of this over three years ago, for free.
