China’s & Swiss’ Secret is Now Revealed…
Switzerland will receive a quota of RMB50 billion (CHF7 billion) to establish itself as a so-called RMB Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor, or RQFII, according to an announcement from the Swiss National Bank (SNB). Switzerland’s status as a “renminbi hub“ will give Swiss commercial traders the ability to make and clear direct trades with their Chinese counterparts in China.

When The Financial Centers’ Computers Are Ready The Yuan Will Be Accepted As A World Reserve Currency
The U.S. could potentially veto the yuan’s inclusion in the SDR basket because the change would require the support of as much as 85 percent of voting shares on the IMF’s executive board. The U.S. has 17 percent of the votes. The IMF said it’s too soon to say whether the move would require 70 percent or 85 percent of the vote under the institution’s bylaws.
Holly Shulman, a Treasury Department spokeswoman, said in an e-mail that it’s too early to speculate on the outcome of the IMF review.
China probably hasn’t done enough to liberalize controls over its currency and financial markets to sway the U.S., said Edwin Truman, who was assistant secretary for international affairs at the Treasury Department during the Clinton administration.

The Chinese home real estate market, mostly units in high-rise buildings, is truly bizarre. Many Chinese regard apartments as capital-gains machines rather than sources of shelter. In fact, there are 50 million units in China that are owned but vacant. The owners won’t rent them because used apartments suffer an immediate haircut in value.

Is China The Hidden Hand That Delays IMF Reforms Through Republican Party Donations?
Failure by the Republican lead Congress to pass the required legislation is quickly leading to a situation where China will get exactly what it stated it wanted back in 2009, namely an international reserve currency which is not directly connected to any one national currency, including there own, and having their currency, the renminbi, added to the SDR basket composition.
The only difference now would be that the RMB will be added to the SDR basket at a much larger and more valuable weight than it would have been back in 2010, if the reforms had been implemented at that time.
